IMPD Homicide Detectives investigate after a woman is found dead inside her apartment

IMPDINDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Unit investigates the circumstances of a woman found dead inside her apartment.

copy-243389-1467188463Just before 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were sent to the 6300 Mission Terrence reference a person shot. A family member of the victim had found her unresponsive inside the apartment and called 9-1-1. When officers arrived, they found a 20-year-old female suffering from apparent signs of trauma. EMS personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased. Detectives did not find any signs of forced entry. The victim is identified as 20-year-old Netria Lyons of Indianapolis.
