IMPD Homicide Detectives Arrest Indianapolis Man for Murder

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide Detectives have announced the arrest of 29-year-old Allen Chadwick Fender for his alleged involvement in the murder of 22-year-old David Smith on 12/09/2018.

Allen Chadwick Fender has been charged with Murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Just after 5:00 p.m. on December 9, 2018 Officers responded to the 3200 block of S. Oxford street reference a person shot.  Officers responded and located 22-year-old David Smith with an apparent gunshot wound.  Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services were called to the scene and transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

A charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
