IMPD hit and run detectives seek public assistance in fatal hit and run

INDIANAPOLIS –  Just after 12:20 a.m., on Sunday, May 24, 2020, IMPD officers were dispatched to the 1900 block of North Rural Street on a report of Hit and Run Accident. The victim, an adult male, was at the intersection of Brookside Avenue and Rural Avenue when he was struck by a white SUV.

The vehicle was traveling north on Rural Street. Investigators later determined the striking vehicle was a 2003-2006 Cadillac Escalade. The vehicle fled the scene after striking the victim, making no attempt to stop or render medical aid.
