IMPD East District Officers Apprehend Armed Robber

INDIANAPOLIS – On Monday, September 24, 2018, shortly after 4:10 pm IMPD officers were dispatched to 9950 E 42^nd Street on a report of a robbery of a person with a gun.  Upon arrival, officers began searching the area for the suspect and quickly located an individual matching the suspect’s description in the woods.  East District IMPD officers and Lawrence Police Department officers set up a perimeter in the area.  An IMPD K-9 officer tracked with her K-9 partner and the suspect was soon located.  The suspect was positively identified as the individual who committed the robbery.  The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Dareece Robinson, was arrested on a preliminary charge of robbery.
