INDIANAPOLIS – On Tuesday, May 17, 2016, detectives arrested 23-year-old Demarcus Poole on an arrest warrant for Armed Robbery, Reckless Homicide and Carrying a Handgun without a License. Poole is accused of shooting and killing 18-year-old Oscar Gonzalez on May 4, 2016, during a shootout in the 7100 block of East 21st Street. Detectives believe an altercation and robbery led to this shooting. Poole was wounded during this shooting as well. Poole is currently being held in the Marion County Jail. The probable cause and charging affidavits should be obtained from the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office.
