IMPD Aggravated Assault Detectives Make Arrest in Shooting Investigation

IMPD aggravated assault detectives arrested 45-year-old Anthony Liner Wednesday for his alleged role in a shooting that occurred on Monday, June 27, 2022.

On Monday, June 27, 2022, at approximately 5:47 pm, IMPD East District officers were dispatched to the 3000 block of Brookside Parkway N. Drive on a report of a person shot. Officer arrived and located the victim, who sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s). Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) arrived and transported the victim to an area hospital in critical condition.

IMPD aggravated assault detectives arrived and began the investigation. Detectives learned that before shots were fired, a disturbance occurred between the victim and suspect, which led to the shooting.

Detectives continued the investigation and today arrested Liner for his alleged role. Mr. Liner was charged with aggravated battery.
