(DANVILLE, IN) – Hendricks Regional Health has promoted Ryan McNeely, DPT, MBA, OCS, to Chief Ambulatory Officer, effective October 31, 2026, recognizing his more than two decades of leadership, innovation and service to the organization.
In his new role, McNeely will lead the continued growth and evolution of ambulatory and outpatient services across Hendricks Regional Health, with a focus on improving access to care, strengthening the patient experience and meeting the evolving healthcare needs of local communities.
“Many of us have had the opportunity to work alongside Ryan over the years and have seen firsthand the leadership, humility and dedication he brings to every challenge,” said Michelle Fenoughty, MD, MBA, FACHE, President and CEO of Hendricks Regional Health. “He cares deeply about our patients, our associates and our community, and he has a remarkable ability to bring people together to move important work forward. Ryan’s experience and vision make him exceptionally well suited for this role, and I’m excited to support him as he leads the next chapter of our ambulatory and outpatient services.”
McNeely joined Hendricks Regional Health in 2005 as a Physical Therapist. Throughout his 21-year tenure, he has held a number of leadership positions of increasing responsibility, including Director of Orthopedics and Sports Medicine and, most recently, Executive Director of the Orthopedic Service Line and Ambulatory Surgery.
During his career, McNeely has led numerous initiatives designed to improve access and enhance the patient experience. His accomplishments include developing a statewide Orthopedic Center of Excellence program for Indiana teachers and helping expand specialty care services, including the addition of nine gastroenterology physicians and providers, which improved access to high-quality care and enabled patients to receive lifesaving colonoscopy screenings sooner throughout west central Indiana.
“I’m honored and grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role,” McNeely said. “Throughout my career at Hendricks, I’ve seen what’s possible when physicians, providers and frontline teams come together around the needs of patients. Making care more accessible, connected and personal has always been important to me, and I’m excited to build on the strong foundation already in place. I look forward to working alongside our teams to create an exceptional experience for the patients and communities we serve.”
McNeely earned his undergraduate degree and Doctor of Physical Therapy from Indiana University and his Master of Business Administration from Ball State University. He is a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Executives, Medical Group Management Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
He and his wife, Stephanie, live in Brownsburg with their two children, Liam and Camryn.
