Hendricks Regional Health Brownsburg Hospital Officially Opens

On Monday, January 8, 2018, Hendricks Regional Health expands their services to the individuals, families and businesses in Brownsburg and surrounding areas with the official opening of the brand new Brownsburg Hospital.

The 100,000 square-foot hospital, located at 5492 North Ronald Reagan Parkway, combines a modern healthcare delivery model with Hendricks Regional Health’s award-winning approach to patient experience. It houses Hendricks County’s first side-by-side Emergency Department and Immediate Care Center, allowing patients the option to choose a level of care with respect to their condition and copay. The facility provides enhanced sports medicine and women’s services; an inpatient unit; physical, speech and occupational therapies; cardiology testing; cardiac rehabilitation; laboratory and imaging services; a multi-specialty clinic; and physician offices including Brownsburg North Family Medicine, Hendricks Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, and New Life Associates for OB-GYN care.

Hendricks Regional Health has envisioned a greater presence in Brownsburg for many years. As they monitored Brownsburg’s rapid growth, they felt it was the right time to enhance services in the area and invest in a significant project that would benefit the community.

“We conducted focus groups in Brownsburg to gather information on services individuals wanted to see offered locally and where they thought those services would be best located,” says Hendricks Regional Health Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer Gary Everling. “Their feedback helped shape our services. In addition, the participants’ location of choice was the ground on the northwest corner of Interstate 74 and Ronald Reagan Parkway, where the new Brownsburg Hospital now sits. In several ways, the community played a role in the collaboration that developed the hospital.”

In 1962, Hendricks Regional Health put down roots in Hendricks County with a commitment to delivering high-quality, comprehensive health care close to home. In their history, the health system has focused on growth and expansion to meet the ever-changing healthcare needs of Western and Central Indiana. “By expanding our services to Brownsburg and providing access to high-quality care close to home, we’re building a stronger health system that truly puts our patients first,” says Hendricks Regional Health President and Chief Executive Officer Kevin Speer. “We are proud to further our mission in delivering truly innovative, patient-centered health care to our community.”

While the new hospital will serve Brownsburg and surrounding areas, the existing Hendricks Regional Health medical office building, located at 1411 South Green Street in Brownsburg, will remain open to serve the south side of Brownsburg and northwest side of Avon. That facility features a variety of physician offices and laboratory services.
