Hendricks Power Cooperative Operation Round Up Benefits Local Organizations

On behalf of Hendricks Power Cooperative and its members, a $1,500 donation was made to both the Rebuild North Salem Town Park Fund and the Danville Fire Department.

The donation to the Rebuild North Salem Town Park Fund is to help replace current playground equipment to make the park a safer and more enjoyable place for children to play. They will begin this project in Spring 2019.

“A small group of residents from North Salem began this project, and we are so thankful for the community support,” said Amanda Traut, Rebuild North Salem Town Park Fund Committee Member.

The Danville Fire Department will use their donation to help cover the cost of repairs and upgrades to the fire safety trailer. The department utilizes this trailer at safety events within the Town of Danville, and Center and Marion Townships.

“This trailer is used to demonstrate fire safety to children,” said Assistant Fire Chief Rob Roberts. “It helps teach them the importance of an escape plan, and what to do in the event of afire.”

“Our members contribute to Operation Round-Up, making our donations to these organizations possible,” said Dana Cochran, Director of Marketing & Member Engagement at Hendricks Power. “Both of these projects have the safety of our community’s children in mind and we are proud to be involved.”
