Hendricks County Towns Host Inaugural Westside Development Summit – October 23rd

PLAINFIELD, In. – The inaugural Westside Development Summit, hosted by Hendricks County towns, will be held Tuesday, October 23rd at the brand new Embassy Suites Conference Center in Plainfield. The Summit will highlight key players who have been successful in guiding communities in the greater Indianapolis region. The dynamic line-up of speakers and panelists are experts in: industrial development, retail and hospitality development, office development, housing development and opportunity zones.

The keynote speaker is Rick Cardwell, Head of Innovation and Delivery for Infosys; Cardwell will discuss the latest Infosys announcement to build a technology hub at the former Indianapolis International Airport terminal site. Additional development on the west side of Indianapolis that will likely increase as Infosys brings on 3,000 new jobs. In addition to the Infosys announcement, Aasif Bade of Ambrose will highlight the recent news of a $1.4 billion project at the former GM stamping plant just west of downtown Indianapolis adds another layer of excitement for developers in this region. These announcements present opportunities for communities to begin to strategically think about future development.

There is opportunity here, on the Westside of Indianapolis, and we’re thrilled to highlight those opportunities.”
