Hendricks County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Brownsburg Man in Connection with Threat to Former High School

Lizton – On 03/26/2024 Hendricks County authorities were notified that a former student of Tri-West High School had been posting disturbing messages and videos on his social media account which led many members of the community to be in fear that the man would come to Tri-West High School and carry out a violent and deadly attack.

As detectives continued their investigation, additional facts came to light that rose to the level of criminal activity and a violation of Indiana law.  Investigators immediately followed up on the new information and filed an affidavit with a Hendricks County court requesting an arrest warrant for the suspect, who has been identified as Carson Cole, 20, of Brownsburg.

At approximately 10:30pm on 3/27/2024, Carson Cole was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Hendricks County Jail where he is currently being held without bond for the criminal offense of Intimidation, a Level 5 felony.

We are thankful that this incident was resolved peacefully and without injury.  Sheriff Jack Sadler added, “In Hendricks County, school safety is of the utmost importance.  I am proud of the cooperation between our community members, schools, and our investigators. This is how we keep our community safe.” 

All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
