(Danville, Ind., Jan. 20, 2026) The Hendricks County Master Gardeners will award a $2,000 scholarship to a Hendricks County student who will pursue higher education in a horticulture- or agriculture-related field. The scholarship will be distributed for the 2026-2027 school year. Requirements include the application; a one-page essay of no less than 200 words; information on clubs, organizations, community involvement; authorization to release name for news media; two recommendation letters; and proof of enrollment for the Fall semester. About the Hendricks County Master Gardeners: Purdue University Cooperative Extension Service’s Hendricks County’s Master Gardener Program provides gardeners with comprehensive education in proven horticultural principles. Completing a 14-session Master Gardener class is the first step toward certification as a Master Gardener. Master Gardeners then share their knowledge and provide volunteer leadership and service to their communities. The group’s demonstration garden is located just west of the Fairground’s Conference Center.
