HCCF Sends HOPE Staff Members to Annual Conference

The Hendricks County Community Foundation (HCCF) through the Deedee Daniel Opportunity Fund, awarded Hope Healthcare Services (HOPE) a $750 grant to send two full-time staff members to the Christian Community Health Fellowship’s National Conference in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Hope Healthcare Services provides medical, dental, and spiritual care for individuals and families without health insurance. With only three paid staff, HOPE operates on the passion of over one hundred volunteers who provide care for the patients. The Christian Community Health Fellowship (CCHF) national conference is a time for Christians in healthcare to educate, encourage, and engage fellow Christians to live out the gospel through healthcare services to those in need.

With the opportunity to meet thought leaders in healthcare like Dr. Diane Foley, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Population Affairs for Health and Human Services, HOPE Executive Director John Mollaun believes conferences like this are valuable and critical to fulfilling their mission. He commented, “This conference and others like it help us understand how other clinic leaders across the country are meeting the healthcare needs in their communities and are a great source of practical information we can apply right here in Hendricks County.”

This grant was made through HCCF’s largest unrestricted fund, the Deedee Daniel Opportunity Fund, which is dedicated to supporting community projects and programs through building capacity in our local nonprofits who help grow the community we all know and love. HCCF’s President and CEO William Rhodehamel commented on the impact of these unrestricted funds, “Capacity building grants like this one support the growth of nonprofits in Hendricks County that focus on the betterment of all in our community. We are grateful to our generous donors who give to our unrestricted funds and enable us flexibility in improving the quality of life in Hendricks County.”  For a limited time, HCCF is offering a $2 to $1 match for all donations made to unrestricted funds, like the Deedee Daniel Opportunity Fund.  Call the HCCF office at 317-268-6240 or email William at William@hendrickscountycf.org to find out how to triple your investment in Hendricks County.
