Noblesville, IN – An undercover investigation conducted by the Indiana State Police Drug Enforcement Section resulted in the arrest of Hamilton County resident William Greenaway, 50.
Greenaway is alleged to have purchased over two grams of methamphetamine while in the parking lot of a retail shopping center in Noblesville the afternoon of March 20th. When Greenaway was approached by members of the Indiana State Police and the Noblesville Police Department it is alleged he consumed the methamphetamine, which required his immediate hospitalization. During the interaction with police Greenaway allegedly bit the finger of one of the officers.
On March 29th, 2019, around 12:00 p.m. Greenaway was released from Community North Hospital and was subsequently arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail where he was booked for the following alleged violations of Indiana law:
- Possession of Methamphetamine (I.C. 35-48-4-6.1) Level 6 Felony
- Resisting Law Enforcement (I.C. 35-44.1-2-2) Level 6 Felony
- Obstruction of Justice (I.C. 35-44.1-2-2) Level 6 Felony
The Howard County Prosecutor, Mark McCann, has been assigned as the special prosecutor in this case.
