Danville-Center Township Public Library Hosting Acclaimed Audiobook Narrator and Author Julia Whelan – April 26th

Danville, IN – The Danville-Center Township Public Library is thrilled to announce an extraordinary literary event featuring Julia Whelan, the award-winning audiobook narrator, author, actress, and entrepreneur. Dubbed “the Adele of audiobooks” by The New Yorker, Whelan has narrated over 600 titles, captivating listeners with her storytelling ability. She is also the author of three novels, My Oxford Year, Thank You For Listening, and Casanova LLC (penned by fictitious writer June French and Whelan). Netflix has just wrapped production on the film adaptation of My Oxford Year, starring Sofia Carson and Corey Mylchreest. While the release date has yet to be announced, fans are eagerly awaiting the premiere.

This special event will take place on Saturday, April 26, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the Tri-West High School auditorium. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to experience Julia Whelan’s talent firsthand during a live reading, a Q&A session, and book signing.

In addition to her work as an author and narrator, Whelan is the co-founder of Audiobrary, a groundbreaking platform dedicated to supporting the voices behind audiobooks. This event is free to attend, but tickets are required for entry. Registration will open on Friday, February 28 at dplindiana.org/events. This event is open to all; no library card is required, and residents from across Hendricks County and beyond are welcome.
