WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.) cosponsored a joint resolution to block the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Army Corps of Engineers’s (ACE) recently finalized “WOTUS” rule that expands the scope of federal authority over land and waters in the United States under the Clean Water Act.
“Indiana businesses, property owners and farmers already face a mountain of Washington red tape, and this rule only adds more when Hoosiers make decisions about their own land,” said Coats. “This resolution would nullify this ill-conceived rule and reinforce to the EPA and ACE that they failed to address the concerns raised by farmers, manufacturers and small businesses in Indiana and across the country.”
