Putnam County – Indiana State Police initiated a criminal investigation on December 13, 2018, after receiving information that a female, under the age of 14, had been molested.
The investigation revealed that Jonathan R. Maw, age 31, of Cloverdale, IN, allegedly molested a female juvenile for approximately two years and had shown her pornography on his computer.
After reviewing the investigation, the Putnam County Prosecutor’s Office issued an arrest warrant. Maw was arrested, in the afternoon hours and without incident, on March 22, 2019, by the Cloverdale Police Department during a traffic stop. Jonathan Maw is currently being held in the Putnam County Jail without bond.

- Child Molesting Fondling or Touching with child under 14, Class 4 Felony
- Dissemination of Matter Harmful to Minors, Class 6 Felony
Investigating Officers: Indiana State Police Detectives Jason Schoffstall and Mike Taylor of the Putnamville District.
Assisting Agencies: Putnam County DCS, Susie’s Place, and the Cloverdale Police Department.
Under the Law, criminal charges are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.
