Celebrate Independence Day in Brownsburg

Brownsburg town offices will be closed on Independence Day, but there will be plenty of activity at the Brownsburg Lions Club 4th of July Extravaganza! The carnival opens at 6 p.m. nightly July 2 through 6 at Arbuckle Acres Park. All-you-can-ride wristband nights are July 2, 3, 5 and 6.

The Lions Club 4th of July parade starts at 10 a.m. Thursday from Williams Park, north on Locust, east on Tilden, south on Odell to Sycamore. Expect road closures and traffic delays along the parade route from approximately 9:45 a.m. to noon. PARADE ROUTE MAP>>

Before the fireworks display begins, get a spot on the viewing field to see the nationally-recognized Indianapolis Jazz Orchestra perform its big band show. The Brownsburg Parks mobile stage will set up on the field, located at the corner of Airport Road and Odell Street, for this annual concert starting 7:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Guests can expect to hear patriotic favorites including instrumental and vocal classics featuring outstanding soloists. Concert-goers are welcome to pack a picnic and bring a blanket or chairs to enjoy the performance.

Brownsburg’s July 4th fireworks show begins at approximately 10 p.m. They will be shot off from the field between Eagle and White Lick Elementary Schools. Spectators can enjoy the show from the designated viewing area on the grassy lot at the corner of Airport Road and Odell Street, just south of White Lick school. Please note that personal fireworks and alcohol are prohibited on school property. Check out the link for details and parking options. FIREWORKS PARKING & VIEWING INFO>>
