Bloomingdale Man Arrested for Sexual Misconduct With a Minor

Sullivan County – Indiana State Police Putnamville Post initiated a criminal investigation on October 22, 2021, after receiving information from the Parke County Sheriff’s Department concerning allegations of sexual misconduct with a female, under the age of 14.

The investigation revealed that Danny L. Richmond, of Bloomingdale, Indiana, had allegedly engaged in sexual misconduct with a female minor under the age of 14.  The allegations took place in Sullivan County.

After reviewing the investigation, the Sullivan County Prosecutor Ann Mishler issued an arrest warrant on February 17, 2022, for Richmond.  Putnamville Master Trooper Jason Owens arrested Richmond on the active warrant on February 18, 2022.  Richmond is currently being held on a $150,000.00 bond with no 10% allowed.

  • Child Molesting-Intercourse or deviate sex with victim less than 14, Class A Felony
  • Sexual Misconduct with a Minor (2 counts), Class C Felony
  • Child Molesting, Class C Felony

Under the law, criminal charges are merely accusations, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
