Brownsburg, Ind. — Fans of the National Hot Rod Association’s (NHRA) Mello Yello Drag Racing Series can meet their favorite pro racers at the fourth annual Big Go Block Party on Tuesday, August 22. The fanfest, hosted by the Town of Brownsburg with the NHRA, Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis, Don Schumacher Racing and John Force Racing, will feature family activities, entertainment and concessions from 6 to 9 p.m. on the Town Hall Green.

Top Fuel dragsters, Funny Cars, Pro Stock cars and Pro Stock Motorcycles will be on display. Car buffs will enjoy the cruise-in hot rod show and an inflatables playground will keep the kids happy. A variety of exhibitors will have games and interactive experiences for attendees.

Indianapolis rock band BYBYE will perform a free concert. Local food trucks will offer hot and cold concessions.

The Big Go Block Party celebrates the strong presence that the motorsports industry has in Brownsburg and the economic impact of Lucas Oil Raceway, the county’s number one visitor destination. Touted as the most historic and tradition-rich event in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series, the Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals is held annually at Lucas Oil Raceway over Labor Day weekend. Known as “The Big Go,” the event features more than 1,000 competitors in 12 categories.

Exhibitor applications are being accepted. There is no exhibit space fee for organizations and businesses that have an interactive display for race fans attending the Big Go Block Party. The application is on the Town of Brownsburg website, www.brownsburg.org.
