ATV Accident Injures Brown County Man

Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an ATV accident that occurred last night in Brown County.

Last night at approximately 9:54 p.m., Officers were dispatched to 985 Fruitdale Drive in reference to an adult male injured as a result of an ATV accident on private property.

Upon arrival, responders located Ronnie Camden, 46, of Fuitdale, suffering from chest, neck and back injuries.  He was transported to Johnson Memorial Hospital in stable condition.

Initial investigation by ICO Kurt Kinser has revealed that Camden was operating after dark in his back yard when he struck a large grass cover rut.  This collision caused the ATV to flip and roll on top of Camden.

It was also discovered that Camden was not wearing a helmet or other protective gear at the time of the accident.

Responding agencies were Indiana Conservation Officers, Brown County Sheriff’s Department, Columbus Regional EMS and Fruitdale Volunteer Fire Department.
