Missouri-Based Tech Company Continues Growth in Hamilton County

CARMEL, Ind. (April 10, 2017) – GadellNet Consulting Services, a provider of information technology services and solutions for small businesses, announced plans today to expand its operations in Hamilton County, creating up to 30 new, high-wage jobs by 2022.

“Indiana now celebrates a top-five ranking from Forbes for tech growth,” said Jim Schellinger, Indiana Secretary of Commerce. “Companies like GadellNet continue to find a talented workforce and an economic environment that is ripe for growth. As we enter our third century, we will continue to support our job creators by sustaining Indiana’s pro-growth business environment and increasing our talent pipeline by focusing on education and workforce development.”

The company, which is headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, plans to expand in Carmel, moving from its current office to a 6,000-square-foot office at 985 N. Keystone Way. The company’s move, which is planned for this summer, will nearly double its office space, adding additional collaborative work space, a small gym, a full kitchen and a grill and patio area. In addition, the expansion will also allow GadellNet to accommodate increased operations due to its recently-announced merger with a local technology company, Blue Key.

“Indiana’s small business market is ripe for a company like GadellNet,” said Nick Smarrelli, chief executive officer of GadellNet. “We focus not only on maintaining and managing IT infrastructure, but we get very involved with helping support our client’s key functions of sales, marketing and finance. Indiana has strategic business thinkers and a small business focus to allow for us to participate actively in their growth through inserting technology strategically in our client’s workflows.”

Founded in 2003, GadellNet employs more than 50 associates in three locations across the U.S., including 10 full-time associates in Indiana. The company, which will acquire two additional full-time employees from Blue Key, plans to continue hiring for sales leaders, system engineers, help desk engineers, development engineers, business analysts and business intelligence analysts. These positions are expected to pay on average nearly 35 percent more than the state average wage. Interested applicants may apply online.

GadellNet offers a range of information technology business solutions, including 24/7 help desk support, cyber security, professional infrastructure, and consulting, data, business intelligence and application services. The company, which has been named on the Inc. 5000 List of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies four times, has grown an average of 43 percent year over year since its founding.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation (IEDC) offered GadellNet Consulting Services LLC up to $325,000 in conditional tax credits and up to $50,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. These incentives are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The city of Carmel supports the project.

“This is great news for GadellNet and for the city of Carmel, where we strive to lay the foundation for local companies to succeed and grow by attracting the best and brightest employees who can often pick and choose where they want to live before they decide on a job,” said Carmel Mayor Jim Brainard. “Our efforts to build a city that is environmentally sustainable, walkable, easy to navigate and focused on a high quality of life will certainly help GadellNet continue to be successful.”

GadellNet’s growth plans continue a trend of companies choosing to expand and add new jobs across the state. Indiana’s unemployment rate is 4.1 percent, which is below the national average and below all of Indiana’s neighboring states. Indiana is home to 500,000 small businesses, providing GadellNet with a business climate positioned for success.
