INDIANAPOLIS– Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Northwest District Narcotics Detectives secured a search warrant which resulted in the confiscation of marijuana, spice, and 2 arrests.
On September 8, 2016 shortly after12:00p.m. Northwest District Narcotics detectives along with IMPD SWAT served a search warrant in the 600 block of Udell St. SWAT officers made entry and were able to secure the residence. SWAT officers came into contact with 31 year old Latia Wells, and 32 year old Thomas McCray. McCray recently served 9.5 years for dealing cocaine.
During the search, detectives seized the following:
- 5 plus ounces of marijuana
- 16 grams of spice
- A large digital scale
- .40 caliber ammunition
Thomas McCray and Latia Wells were preliminarily charged with Dealing Marijuana, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. The two were transported to the Arrestee Processing Center by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a final changing decision.
