Two Arrested after Meth Found in Home in Vermillion County

ISP SmallVermillion County—At 11:30 this morning, the Indiana State Police Putnamville District Drug Task Force, along with Vermillion County Sheriff’s deputies, accompanied Indiana Department of Child Services investigators (Vermillion County) to a residence at 416 South Second Street in Cayuga, IN. 

The agencies responded to the residence based on information received through community tips that illegal drug activity may be occurring. ISP K-9 handler Trooper Michael Organ escorted his partner “Zeke”, through the residence as part of the investigation, and “Zeke” alerted to the presence of illegal drugs in a nightstand in one bedroom. Officers ultimately located approximately two grams of crystal methamphetamine, and assorted pipes and paraphernalia. Less than five grams of Marijuana was found at another location in the residence. 

Department of Child Services removed the children ages 5 and 2 from the residence and remanded them into the custody of responsible family members. DCS investigation is ongoing. 

Arrested:         Tia Loden, age 32, of the address 

Charges:          Possession of Meth, Possession of Paraphernalia, Neglect of a Dependent (two counts), and Maintaining a Common Nuisance. 

 

Arrested:         Philip Ross, age 36, of the address 

Charges:          Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.
