Rainy weather didn’t stop the ground breaking ceremony for the new Hendricks Regional Health Medical Center in Brownsburg on Monday. The presenters at the ceremony included among others, Hendricks Regional Health CEO Kevin Speers, Brownsburg Town Council member Brian Jessen, and County Commissioner member Bob Gentry.
“It’s an exciting time. This will the first piece of the economic explosion that I see happening along the Ronald Reagan. Hendricks Regional Health is one of those companies that will be here for a long time.” said Jessen. When asked if he thinks this will be the first of many ground-breaking ceremonies along the Ronald Reagan, Jessen replied “I think with Hendricks Regional Health’s stability other companies will see that and want to be part of it.”
Hendricks Regional Health CEO Kevin Speers was asked what he feels the new medical center means for Brownsburg and Hendricks County. “This is a 19 year relationship that Brownsburg has with Hendricks Regional. It allows Brownsburg and Hendricks to start delivering more Healthcare Services to a rapidly growing Community. I think it allows us to move into the retail Health Care delivery World, which is where we feel healthcare is headed.”
Speers went on to say he was glad the wet weather didn’t hamper the ceremony and expected close to 150 people to attend.
