Bridge Rehabilitation Project will Restrict US 36 west of Avon beginning the first of April

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announce a bridge rehabilitation project on U.S. 36 just over one half mile west of Old State Road 267 in Avon will restrict traffic to one 15’ lane in each direction on the bridge over Lingeman Creek beginning on or after Friday, April 1.

The project was awarded to American Contracting Services, Inc. for $1.66 million.  This project includes a bridge deck overlay and new approaches.  This contract includes the U.S. 36 Bridge over White Lick Creek, located approximately one mile west of Old S.R. 267.  The work on this bridge will begin in July of this year.  The scheduled completion date is the end of October.

INDOT reminds motorists to follow the posted work zone speed limit, use caution and consider worker safety when traveling through a construction zone.
