Hendricks County Soil & Water Conservation District Tree Sale Deadline is September 23

The deadline for ordering container-grown trees for fall planting is Sept. 23. Available through the Hendricks County Soil & Water Conservation District, all trees and shrubs are locally grown native species.

Each is $25. The sale is a fund-raiser for the SWCD’s annual programs to support clean water and stable soil efforts, and is open to everyone.

Place tree and shrub orders on-line at www.hendrickscountyswcd.org. Simply scroll down to “annual native tree sale” to review the species list.

Payment must accompany orders.

Tree and shrub pick-up is Sept. 30 at the county fairgrounds, followed by a free workshop offering planting advice.
