INDIANAPOLIS… On February 5, 2019 Covert Detectives and District Officers with The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) along with assistance from Indiana State Police (ISP), National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) , and The Regional Auto Theft Task Force served a search warrant at 2025 Old Madison Ave.
31-year-old Elisha Johnson was arrested for the preliminary charge of theft receiving stolen auto parts.
The following eight stolen vehicles were recovered predominantly disassembled to be sold as parts:
- 1966 Ford F150, stolen out of Whiteland, IN.
- 2013 Carry-on trailer, stolen out of White county, date of steal 10/19/15
- 2003 Ford F350 stolen out of Carmel, IN, Date of steal 11/26/18, this is a partial recovery, engine/transmission/cab are still missing
- 2005 Chrysler 300, stolen out of Franklin, IN, date of steal 1/8/19
- 2012 Buick Verno, stolen out of Marion county, date of steal 1/11/19, this is a partial recovery, engine/transmission/frame are still missing
- 2008 Harley Davidson, stolen out of Marion county, date of steal 8/27/18, recovery of the engine/transmission only
- 2018 GMC pickup, stolen out of Marion county, date of steal 12/17/18
- 2012 Chevy Silverado, stolen out of Lawrence, IN, date of steal 11/19/18, recovery of the transmission only
A Charge of a crime is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty
