IMPD Hit and Run detectives seek public’s assistance in locating suspect and vehicle that struck pedestrian

INDIANAPOLIS – Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Hit and Run detectives are seeking the public’s help locating a suspect and vehicle involved in a hit and run accident, that left a woman hospitalized.

Just before 11:45 p.m. on 10/06/2018, officers with the IMPD were dispatched to the Shell Gas Station located at 2705 Bloyd Ave, on reports of a person struck by a vehicle. Responding officers located a 32-year-old female victim, suffering from significant injuries. EMS responded to the scene and transported to the victim to an area hospital where she remains in critical condition.

Hit and Run detectives learned that a dark blue or black, older F150 or Dodge Ram pickup, with wood rails along the bed, was allegedly speeding through the parking lot of the Shell Gas Station when it struck the female victim. The truck then fled the scene. Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in locating the suspect and vehicle involved in this accident. Detectives believe there to be minimal damage to the front bumper and/or hood of the suspect vehicle, as a result of this accident. Images of the suspect vehicle are attached.
