INDIANAPOLIS –Just before 3:11 p.m., on February 25, 2018, officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) were dispatched to the scene of a possible accident fatality. Officers arrived with assistance from Wayne Township Fire Department as they rendered aid to the victim(s) of the accident.
Wayne Township Fire Department personnel pronounced a female juvenile (16) and a male juvenile (12) deceased at the scene. Investigators transported the other driver of the vehicle to a local hospital for a standard blood draw. Investigators learned the deceased victims were siblings.
The Wayne Township first responders offered comfort to some of the family members as they arrived on scene. Wayne Township Schools were immediately notified and will have grief counselors available tomorrow for the students affected by this tragedy.
