Troopers Receive Blankets from Rockville Organization

Parke County— The Indiana State Police Putnamville Post received a generous donation from a local church group.

The Rockville Christian Church’s “Women In Service Group” donated blankets to the Putnamville State Police Post to be given to those in-need. Those blankets are being distributed to road troopers in the Putnamville District and will be provided to people in need; car crash victims, domestic violence victims or anyone in need during the winter months, especially the Christmas season.

Lt. Dan Jones, the commander of the Putnamville post stated, “I would like to thank the Rockville Christian Church for their generosity and service to those in need and for partnering with us in an effort to help people during this season of giving. Troopers regularly come into contact with citizens, including children, who are less fortunate, are going through hard times or are victims of accidents or criminal acts that just need a little something to keep them going.”
