The Hendricks County Community Foundation Announces Largest Gift in its History

The Hendricks County Community Foundation (HCCF) is proud to announce the largest gift in its history – an extraordinary anonymous donation of over $6.55 million. This transformational gift will be directed through a donor advised fund at HCCF, enabling the anonymous donors to make impactful grants to benefit Hendricks County nonprofits and programs close to their hearts.

The generosity of these donors and their trust in HCCF highlight the Foundation’s role as a steward of impactful giving in Hendricks County. Through their donor advised fund, the donors will maintain their anonymity while partnering with HCCF to support the causes and initiatives they care deeply about.

“We are deeply honored by the trust these generous donors have placed in the Community Foundation,” said William Rhodehamel, HCCF President & CEO. “This historic gift reflects their profound belief in the power of philanthropy to create lasting change and their confidence in HCCF to help turn their vision into action.”

Brad Riley, Chair of HCCF’s volunteer Board of Directors, added, “This incredible gift is a testament to the strength of our community and the role HCCF plays in bringing people and resources together. It will have a ripple effect, empowering nonprofits and initiatives that improve the lives of countless people in Hendricks County.”

Since its founding in 1996, the Community Foundation has worked to connect people, resources, and ideas to improve the quality of life in Hendricks County. With this monumental gift, the Foundation’s total assets now exceed $31 million, significantly increasing its capacity to address pressing needs, seize opportunities, and invest in the future of the community.

“This milestone gift is a shining example of how individuals can work with HCCF to leave a lasting legacy,” Rhodehamel continued. “We look forward to collaborating with these donors to amplify their impact while respecting their desire for privacy.”

The Hendricks County Community Foundation offers a variety of philanthropic tools, including donor advised funds, to help donors achieve their charitable goals. These funds provide flexibility, anonymity when desired, and expert guidance, making it possible to invest meaningfully in the community while addressing both immediate needs and long-term priorities.
