BOONE COUNTY, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) announces work on State Road 75 will resume on or after Monday, April 1 by closing the roadway for the pavement replacement project in Advance. The contractor will continue with storm water utility work first, then begin replacing the pavement and sidewalk within the town limits. This work is scheduled to be completed by the end of November of this year and open to traffic.
The detour follows S.R. 32 to I-74 and back. Residential traffic and access to businesses will be maintained.
INDOT reminds drivers to use caution and consider worker safety when driving through any active work zone.
Calumet Civil Contractors Inc. was awarded the $4.8 million contract. This project includes full-depth replacement of the roadway through Advance along with replacing the existing storm sewer system, curbs, drainage inlets and under-drains. The sidewalks and curb-ramps will be updated to be ADA-compliant.
