State Road 39 will close Friday in Boone County between I-65 and I-74

BOONE AND CLINTON COUNTIES, Ind. – The Indiana Department of Transportation announces State Road 39 will close on or after Friday, March 25 just south of Milledgeville and north of W. C.R. 500 South. This is for a small structure replacement over an unnamed tributary to Main Edlin Ditch. This is scheduled to reopen Friday, May 20  Access will be maintained to residences and businesses in the area. The official detour follows, I-74 to S.R. 32 and back to S.R. 39.

This project was awarded to Beaty Construction Inc. for $1.7 million. The project also includes two other small structure replacements, one on S.R. 75 nearly three miles south of S.R. 32 and the other on S.R. 38 just over one mile east of U.S. 421. It also includes a bridge deck replacement on S.R. 39 over Main Edlin Ditch just over three miles south of I-65. Notifications for these closures will be sent out well in advance. All of these are expected to be completed by late October of this year.
