Plainfield Man Arrested for DUI after Passing a Trooper

Putnam County – October 27, 2019, at approximately 1:00 p.m., Spencer S. King, age 21, of Plainfield, Indiana, was stopped for exceeding the posted speed limit.  King was traveling 71 mph in a 55 mph zone, and passed an unmarked state police commission on the right.  Further investigation by the trooper revealed that King was under the influence of a controlled substance and was in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia. King agreed to submit to a certified chemical test.

Emma K. Segraves, age 19, of Plainfield, was a passenger in the vehicle and was found to be in possession of marijuana and paraphernalia.  Both were taken to the Putnam County Jail where they are currently being held.

  • Operating a Motor Vehicle under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Class C Misdemeanor 
  • Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor 
  • Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor

Emma K. Segraves, 19, Plainfield

  • Maintaining a common nuisance, Class B Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Marijuana, Class A Misdemeanor
  • Possession of Paraphernalia, Class A Misdemeanor
