INDIANAPOLIS – Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the murder of 67-year-old Rozzell Moore. Mr. Moore was shot in the early hours of Sunday, February 21, 2016, near the area of 38th Street and Keystone Avenue.
Detectives believe Mr. Moore was sitting in his car preparing to leave the area when he was approached by two people. The details of the exchange between Mr. Moore and the suspects are still under investigation but, it appears, he may have been the victim of an attempted robbery when he was shot. Mr. Moore was transported to Eskenazi Hospital in critical condition and died from his injuries.
