Indianapolis – In January 2015, the Indiana State Police was contacted by an adult female with information about her child possibly being sexually molested. After a lengthy investigation police determined 47 year old John Daniels of Indianapolis had sexual contact with a juvenile in both Marion and Switzerland County Indiana.
Indiana State Police Detective Wayne Billings was assisted in this investigation by Marion County Child Protective Services, who together, after extensive interviews and analyzation of evidence, determined Daniels had sexual intercourse with the 15 year old victim on more than one occasion over the past few years.
Daniels is also accused of sexual molestation of the same victim in Switzerland County Indiana. Detective Billings will work with the Switzerland County Prosecutor for potential criminal charges there.
Wednesday June 15th, 2016 John Daniels was arrested at his residence by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department Warrants Division without incident. He was booked into the Adult Processing Center and is being held on $150,000 bond. Daniels is presumed innocent until proven guilty in court. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office has filed the following charges:

Count 2 – Child Molesting
Count 3 – Sexual Misconduct with a Minor
Count 4 – Sexual Misconduct with a Minor
Count 5 – Child Solicitation
