If your community is hosting a block party, cookout, parade, neighborhood walk, or meeting IMPD encourages all members of Marion County to turn on their porch light, meet your neighbors and visit with police officers who are a part of your community. This is a great opportunity to promote police-community relationships, crime prevention, neighborhood camaraderie, and send a message to criminals that they are not welcome in our community.  Citywide Indianapolis residents will host over 140 National Night Out events.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department is committed to making National Night Out a time for our community to stand together, promote awareness, safety, and neighborhood unity. Police officers will be out in force and will be stopping by some of the registered events citywide.
