INDIANAPOLIS – On Thursday, December 9, 2021, just before 5:00 p.m., IMPD Northwest District officers were dispatched to the 3700 block of St. Thomas Boulevard reference a person shot. Officers arrived and located an adult male and female who both sustained injuries consistent with a gunshot wound(s). Both victims were transported to an area hospital by Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS). Shortly after arrival the adult male was pronounced deceased by medical staff. The adult female was listed in serious but stable condition.
IMPD Homicide Detectives responded to the scene to begin the investigation. Preliminary, for her alleged involvement, detectives arrested a 22-year-old female for murder. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will make the final charging decision. The Indianapolis-Marion County Forensic Services Agency responded to assist in identifying and collecting potential forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office will be assisting and will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The MCCO will release the name of the decedent once proper next-of-kin notification has been made.
