IMPD homicide detectives investigating after a man found dead in his residence

INDIANAPOLIS-Just after 9:30 a.m. on January 26, 2018 Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department(IMPD) dispatched to a residential robbery in the 1800 block of Inisheer Court.  Officers located a male in the residence with apparent trauma to his body.  Indianapolis Emergency Medical Services (IEMS) responded and pronounced the male deceased at the scene.  A vehicle removed from the scene was located in the 7900 block of Donagal Drive a short time later.

Homicide detectives responded to the location and began canvassing the area for witnesses.  The Marion County Forensic Services Agency also responded to the scene to assist with identifying and collecting forensic evidence. The Marion County Coroner’s Office (MCCO) will determine the exact manner and cause of death. The name of the victim can be obtained from the MCCO after proper identification and next-of-kin notification.
