Danville – On 12/16/2023 at approximately 10:15am, Hendricks County Deputies responded to a fatal crash in the 1400 block of South State Road 39 just south of Danville. At that location, officers located a single vehicle crash involving a Honda passenger car. The vehicle was occupied by the driver, a 52 year old female from Mooresville and a juvenile female passenger. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The juvenile female passenger was taken to the hospital as a precaution but was reportedly uninjured.
The preliminary investigation shows that the vehicle was traveling northbound on State Road 39 and for an unknown reason left the roadway, striking a tree and then rolling. The roadway was closed during the investigation; however, it has just reopened.
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected as a factor in this collision.
