Danville Community Awards nominations now being accepted

DANVILLE, INDIANA (September 23, 2015) – The Greater Danville Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for its annual Community Awards. Each year, the Chamber gives awards to one winner in each of the six categories; Public Servant, Community Servant, Educator, Business Leader, Philanthropist and Chamber Member, at their annual dinner. If you know of someone who is deserving of recognition for their tireless efforts or selfless service to our community, please consider nominating them for a Community Award.

Please include a short paragraph with your reason for the nomination and contact information for the nominee. If you wish to nominate someone, forms can be found on the Chamber website (www.danvillechamber.org), by email to jana@danvillechamber.org or at the Danville Chamber office. Nominations must be received by October 23rd to be considered. Voting will be open from November 1st through November 30th. Voting is open for all categories except Chamber Member of the Year which is open to chamber members only.

This year’s award ceremony will be held on Wednesday, December 9th at the Hendricks County 4-H Fairgrounds and Conference Center at 6:00 PM. Tickets for members will be $10 and for the public $20 each and require an RSVP to the Chamber office at (317)745-0670. Speaker for this year will be Doug Boles, CEO of Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Again this year a silent auction will be held at the event to support the Larry Reynolds Scholarship Fund that awards college scholarships to high schools seniors in the Danville community.
