Crew Carwash to Start INDOT-Required Safety Improvements on N. Green Street

Motorists should expect lane restrictions beginning September 14 at N. Green Street and Interstate 74 near the Crew Carwash site. The contractor is making Indiana Department of Transportation-required safety improvements to the intersection.

As a result of the INDOT safety audit in August 2014, Crew Carwash is required to make improvements including:
– a second lane to the westbound I-74 off-ramp for southbound traffic;
– a 200-foot southbound left turn lane on N. Green Street (a left turn arrow will be added to the existing signal);
– and an 85-foot northbound right turn lane on N. Green Street.

Road improvements will take 10 weeks. Adjustments will also be made to the signal times.

Those interested in more details regarding the Crew Carwash development plan, traffic study, stacking plan and other materials considered by the Brownsburg Advisory Plan Commission may find those on the Town of Brownsburg website.
