“Color Our World” is this summer’s library summer reading challenge theme. Reading encourages a vibrant imagination, so this summer become immersed in the colorful worlds of books.
Avon-Washington Township Library

Color Our World Summer Reading Challenge at the Avon Washington Township Library will take place June 2 through July 25. The challenge is divided up amongst different age groups with various benchmarks and prizes.
Crayons (babies through 1st grade)
This challenge is for babies through 1st grade. Read 20 books for your 1st prize, 30 books for your second prize, 40 books for your third prize, and 50 books total to complete the challenge. Earn prizes like stickers, candy, free books, and more!
Watercolors (2nd through 3rd grade)
This challenge is for grades 2-3. Read 3 hours for your 1st prize, 6 hours for your 2nd prize, 9 hours for your 3rd prize, and 12 hours total to complete the challenge. Earn prizes like stickers, candy, free books, and more!
Pastels (3rd through 4th grade)
This challenge is for grades 3-4. Read 5 hours for your 1st prize, 10 hours for your 2nd prize, 15 hours for your 3rd prize, and 20 hours total to complete the challenge. Earn prizes like stickers, candy, free books, and more!
Club 512 (grades 5-12)
For every 5 hours of reading logged (with a maximum limit of 40 hours) participants earn 20 Library Bucks. Club 512 is for those entering grades 5-12 only. Library Bucks can be redeemed during the end of summer Auction, where you can win things like baseball tickets, LEGO sets, NERF guns, and more!
Visionaries (adults)
Log hours of reading to earn badges and rewards. The adult reading club is open to all ages but geared towards those over the age of 18. Earn prizes like mugs, booklights, phone stands, gift cards, coupons to book sales! Read 500 minutes to be entered into additional weekly raffles.
The Avon Washington Township Library will have their Kickoff to Summer Reading event on Monday, June 2 from 4 to 6pm.
Brownsburg Public Library

The 2025 Summer Reading Challenge is open to all ages, just log one hour of reading (or early literacy activities for the little-littles) per week to earn weekly rewards and enter weekly raffles
Summer Reading Kickoff Party June 2nd 4 to 7pm that will include sponsor tables, face painting, a bounce house, a DJ, games and activities, a photo booth, and Kona Ice.
Danville Center Public Library
101 S Indiana St, Danville
Beginning June 2 participate in the Danville Center Public Library Reading Challenge.
Get registered and pick up your registration gift and summer reading packet at the library. Complete challenges to earn rewards during this 8 week program. Participants will also be invited to an end of summer celebration!
Plainfield Guilford Township Public Library
To participate in the Summer Reading Club, just track reading times at home to earn prizes and raffle tickets throughout the summer. Children and teens can attend a special completion party at the end of the Summer Reading Club. Turn in reading logs to earn prizes and raffle tickets throughout the summer! The summer reading program will run from June 2 to July 14.

All are welcome to attend the Children’s Summer Reading Completion Party, on Saturday, July 12, 3-4p. Artwork from SRC participants will be featured in a special reception. Invite your family and friends to see the colorful world we’ve created together this summer! All teens who participate in the Summer Reading Club are welcome to attend the Teen SRC Completion Party on Friday, July 11, from 6-8p. Register in advance to attend. This event is for teens in grades 6-12 only, no younger or older siblings or adults can attend.
Clayton Liberty Township Library

The Clayton Liberty Township Library is having a “Be Enchanted by Reading” themed summer reading program happening Monday, June 2 through Friday, July 11. Complete challenges and the summer reading log for a chance to win prizes.
Coatesville-Clay Township Library

Coatesville-Clay Township Library summer reading program is for children entering grades one through six this fall. The program will run for six weeks and on Tuesdays from 11:00am – 12:00pm there will be stories, crafts, snacks, games, activities and more to promote reading.
Children are also encouraged to log the minutes they read, for a chance to win some awesome prizes.

Barnes & Noble
Barnes & Noble’s annual Summer Reading Program encourages kids in grades one through six to earn a free book by reading 8 books and completing a summer reading journal where they reflect on their favorite part of the books. Once the reading log is completed, it can be returned to a Barnes & Noble store between July 1 and August 31 for a free book. The free book selection includes over 30 titles ranging from beginning reader books to chapter books, and includes favorite characters such as Pete the Cat, Junie B. Jones, Harry Potter and many more popular names.
