Indiana Conservation Officers Search for Missing Bloomington Man (Monroe County)

Bloomington- Indiana Conservation Officers have concluded their search for a missing person inside Morgan-Monroe State Forest.
William Goldsberry, age 50, of Bloomington was located at his home at 9:35 a.m. this morning.

Goldsberry had last been seen at approximately 11 p.m. last night near the Stepp Cemetery area of Morgan-Monroe State Forest after a verbal altercation with a friend.

Indiana Conservation Officers and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department responded and completed an initial K9 and grid search of the area at approximately 12:30 a.m.

At 8:30 a.m., additional resources and manpower were requested and arrived to complete a more thorough search of the widened search area. While the search was underway, Goldsberry was located at his home and said that he become disoriented at the time he became lost.

Indiana Conservation Officers were assisted in the search by DNR Forestry Personnel, Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, Wayne Township Fire Department (Marion County), Bargersville Fire, Northern Monroe Fire Territory, Washington Township Fire, Paragon Fire and Morgan County EMS.
