WASHINGTON, D.C. – Senator Dan Coats (R-Ind.) today expressed frustration with HealthCare.gov enrollment fraud during a Finance Committee hearing that examined problems with HealthCare.gov enrollment controls. An ongoing Government Accountability Office undercover investigation of enrollment controls found that the Obamacare federal exchange approved 11 out of 12 telephone and online applications for fictitious applicants.
“We have a bloated, dysfunctional federal government that, with good intent, tries to do more than it can handle,” said Coats. “How can we take [HealthCare.gov’s problems] for anything other than a canary in the mine?
