Indiana Conservation Officers Locate Missing 8-Year Old in Brownsburg Pond (Hendricks County)

Brownsburg- Indiana Conservation Officers have recovered the body of Shalom Lawson, the missing 8-year old, that was reported missing yesterday afternoon in Brownsburg.

Indiana Conservation Officers searched a nearby retention pond yesterday, but returned this morning to continue the search.  During the morning search, officers utilizing side scan sonar located what they believed to be the victim.  As divers were suiting up and preparing to enter the water, the body surfaced.  Indiana Conservation Officers were able to recover the victim at 10:27 a.m., the body was later confirmed to be Shalom Lawson.

Brownsburg Police Department will be heading up the investigation with Indiana Conservation Officers completing a drowning investigation.
