INDIANAPOLIS- Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Southwest District Narcotics and Vice detectives serve a search warrant that nets various narcotics, and 8 handguns.
Shortly after 8:00 a.m. on 9/27/2016, Southwest District Narcotics and Vice detectives, with the assistance of IMPD SWAT, served a search warrant in the 5700 block of Port Lillian Drive. Detectives had identified 43-year-old Jeremiah Young of Indianapolis as the primary target of this investigation.
SWAT officers made entry into the residence and immediately came into contact with Jeremiah Young without incident, along with another adult and several children who are not believed to be involved. Detectives then searched the residence and located the following items:
- 15 grams of heroin
- 15 grams marijuana
- 10 Xanax pills
- 8 guns
Young was preliminarily charged with two counts of Possession of Narcotics, Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia, Dealing in Narcotics, and Maintaining a Common Nuisance, and transported to the Arrestee Processing Center for processing. The Marion County Prosecutor’s Office will review the case and make a charging decision.
