INDIANAPOLIS– Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) Homicide detectives have arrested 19-year-old Isaac Hicks of Indianapolis for Murder, Neglect of a Dependent resulting in Death and Battery Causing Death of a Person under 14 years
On June 06,2016 approximately 10:00 am officers were dispatched to the 2900 block of N Gale St on a unresponsive child. The child was then transported to Riley Hospital for Children by EMS personnel where he was pronounce deceased. After an autopsy was performed by the Marion County Coroner’s Office they determined the cause of death to be multiple blunt force trauma. The injuries were consistent with non-accidental injuries.
After a joint investigation involving the Homicide and Child Abuse Units, and a review by the Marion County Prosecutor’s Office the father of the Zhion Hicks was arrested on yesterday evening, and was transported to Arresting Processing Center to be processed.
