IMPD is investigating the death of a male victim found dead on the city’s southwest side of town

INDIANAPOLIS – Detectives with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department Homicide Branch are investigating the death of a male victim found on the city’s southwest side of town.

Just after 7:00 a.m. officers were sent to the 2300 blk. of South Lynhurst Drive reference a body found. When officers arrived they found an unresponsive male lying in the parking lot. EMS crews arrived and pronounced the male victim deceased. At the present time, this case is being investigated as a death investigation until a determination can be made by the Marion County Coroner’s Office reference cause and manner of death. One confirmation has been made that the victim’s next-of-kin have been properly notified this release may be updated.

Detectives canvassed the area for additional information and the Indianapolis-Forensic Services Agency processed the scene for forensic evidence. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers of Central Indiana at (317) 262-8477 (TIPS).
